Password Protect WinXP During Long Renders?

This probably isn't the best group for this question, except for the
fact that we are all in that family of computer-users that will leave
our computers on overnight doing renders.
I've always worked at home with my editing, but recently I've begun
working at a very busy, very youthful studio. I've password protected
my personal station at the studio and hopefully that will keep the
honest people honest, if you know what I mean (I'm more worried about
people screwing up my system than tapping into anything truely
personal; I don't keep any personal info on the pc).
While this works well when I log out or turn off the pc, I'm concerned
about leaving my system going overnight doing renders. Is there any way
to allow this work to continue but at the same time have the pc

In case the user comment at the bottom gets pushed off
the page. In WinXP you can use the "Windows Key"+L.

If this is basic PC-101 stuff, forgive me--like I said, I'm not all
that familiar in working in this type of environment.

Turn on the screen-saver, and the pasword-protection option
on the screen-saver.
