Hi there all,

I was wondering whether there are any simple downloadable programs
online that enable me to add a few lines of text before and after a
short clip i have made on a video camera.
I would appreciate any info on this if possible :)

free trial. Reasonably powerful, but simple editor for cuts, fades,
titles, slideshows, etc. Add music or voice over.

Less than $100 to buy. Their trial version is fully functional. Some
other trials put on watermarks or cripple the program.

Media Studio 8 is their pro version. Must longer time to learn, but
more powerful.

Windows Movie Maker will also work for very simple work, but be careful

You didn't say whether you are using Mac or PC. If the later, the
recent Windows OSs like XP include Windows Movie Maker. It is a basic
though reasonably good movie making program, does have titling tools,
and is free with the OS. If you have XP you already have it.

If its plain text you want, then the Movie Maker answer is the way to
go. If your request is for something that will do flashy titles, the
bluff titler is about $50.
