HobbyDocumentary...
Can the common 6 LED torches be used to eliminate facial shadows like
that of nose or in case of deep eye sockets.I have seen a white LED
torch but i seems to have a sloght blue tinge but looks OK when pointed
at someone's face.Would it give any trouble to the camera
exposure/colour as far as colors are concerned?

Any LED torch experinces to share?

They have such a quaint vocabulary, don't they?
Their automobiles have bonnets and boots, and they carry
torches around, even in environments with explosive gasses,
etc. And their antique electronic equipment is full of valves,
yet you rarely hear of water damage. :-)

Nappy...
:)) agreed..

I enjoy it though ! Except when it comes to desserts like 'spotted dick'

But what do they call a 'torch'?

David McCall...
A torch is a portable light usually tubular or stick like.
At one time they had actual flames,
but now it's on to batteries and LEDs.

In a way it makes more sense than a flashlight,
but then batteries didn't last very long when it was named :-)

As for valves and tubes, "valve" is more descriptive of what
the device actually does, while "tube", only assumes a shape.

Vacuum tubes have a voltage across them, and you can vary
the amount of current that "flows" through the tube by applying
voltage to the grid. Thus the valve.

Nappy...
hmmmm but what about the Rum?

David McCall...
All right, I'll bite.
What about the Rum?

You can put some diffusion on it. If you would use tracing-paper, this
would make the light a bit warmer as well. Else you can always use some
coloured lighting-gel, in conjunction with diffusion.
If you only need a little bit of fill, you could bounce the LED-light off a
bit of foamcore.
