Vegas Movie Studio 2D shadow?

I just upgraded from Screenblast to Vegas Movie Studio Platinum, and are
very happy with the new software. In the PDF manual it shows how to create
a 2D drop shadow for Picture-In-Picture. Some of the features in the manual
are restricted to the "full" version of Vegas, but I don't see that for this
feature .. yet it isn't where they say it would be and I can't find the "2D
shadow" control anywhere I've looked.

Is this a missprint in the manual, or am I not looking in the right place?

What's really confusing is that the manual for Vegas Movie Studio 6 is also
the Vegas 6 manual.
IMO, this is really sloppy marketing on Sony's part :-(

Anyway, apparently Movie Studio has an option called "2D Glow".
I did a quick search on "2D Shadow" on the Sony Vegas Movie Studio forum and
came across a thread titled "White frame on PIP object" at

Finally found it. I *was* looking in the wrong place ;-)

Did a search on "shadow" in HELP and found one match .. and it was *exactly*
what I was looking for. Guess I was clicking on the wrong icon previously.
The effect works just like it should .. putting a drop shadow on the small
"picture-in-picture" image so that it appears to 'stand out' from the main
